People usually have an important reason to "re-locate" - perhaps it is a case of changing location for employment purposes or it may be to start a new life as a "retiree". The following points are more relevant for retirees but they may be of general interest to anyone who is considering" re-location".

Changing the location of home is a major change for everyone involved. Moving into unfamiliar situations can initially be uncomfortable, especially when leaving family and friends. But understanding that all it takes is a little time to adjust makes adapting much less stressful! Thinking of the move as a new adventure adds an element of excitement to the whole process and, if properly planned in advance, the transition will undoubtedly go very smoothly.

In this brief write-up we are going to share some information we learned in "Planning for Retirement" seminars, so the points listed below will likely be of most interest to people who are retiring or those are in a position of tele-commuting. There is no doubt that the seminars gave us valuable information to consider and, as a result, we changed our "retirement destination"!

So, the big decision has been made - you are going to move away from what has been your home but you haven't yet decided where you want to go. You likely have a general idea but now is the time to start fine-tuning! Some things (in no particular order) to consider when "re-locating":
