The goal of the Campbell River Retiree Project is to recognize and welcome the economic and social benefits retirees bring to Campbell River. The Retiree Project is not just about finding environmentally friendly retiree dollars. Its about the experience, time, effort, energy and wisdom retirees contribute to the life of our community. Retirees enrich us all in many ways. The Retiree Project has no official connection with Campbell River City Council, company, business organization, charity or service club. The Retiree Project has no members, only volunteers. The Retiree Project has no executive and does not vote on issues. It operates by consensus and individual effort. It does not hold fundraisers and has no constitution, no membership fee, no bank account and no liabilities. Its only asset lies in the support found in its volunteers and in our shared belief that Campbell River is a Good Place to Live and Retire. We meet once a month. The Campbell River Retiree Project does receive strong support from Rivercorp and we utilize their meeting facilities, staff time and talent. Rivercorp has provided an enormous boost to the Retiree Project. Many thanks go to Campbell River Community Network for their contribution in hosting our web site for this project. If you would like to take part in the Retiree Project, receive our mailing list, contribute your ideas, or just attend our meeting out of interest without commitment, please send email to retiree@crcn.net outlining your interest.
