Campbell River: a Gateway City, surrounded by Parks.

Lying equidistant between the North and South ends of Vancouver Island Campbell River is the Gateway and service center to the Northern half of Vancouver Island. There is lots to explore in nearby communities.

Twenty Km to the west lies Strathcona Park Lodge. A little further east at the head of Muchalat Arm lies the village of Gold River.

To the North of Campbell River an excellent highway leads to the Villages of Sayward, Port McNeill and Port Hardy.

To the East, a 10 minute ferry ride, BC Ferries, across Discovery Passage takes you to...

Quadra Island and on the east side of Quadra another ferry makes the 75 minute crossing to Cortes Island.

Traveling to Campbell River is measured in terms of time in your vehicle or in an aircraft. The Campbell River Regional Airport is located 5 minutes from the Downtown. There are three air carriers operating from this airport including:

And only a 45 minute scenic drive south of Campbell River, there is another Airport with Westjet Airline service at Department of Defense [DND] Airforce Base Comox.
